Anirudh strolled into the swanky new hair salon that had just popped up near his place. The sign “Two Coins Hair Salon” caught his eye, and he couldn’t resist checking it out. The salon was only a week old, but it was spotless and shiny.
As Anirudh settled into the first available chair by the entrance, he was bombarded by three eager hairdressers vying for his attention. After a brief scuffle, a slender guy emerged victorious and positioned himself behind Anirudh.
“Sir, just a haircut or…?” the hairdresser inquired. “Yes, just a simple haircut. Keep it medium on top and short on the sides and back,” Anirudh replied. “Got it, Sir.”
“Sir, your hair feels a bit rough. When was the last time you shampooed?” the hairdresser asked. “Four days ago,” Anirudh admitted. The hairdresser snipped a few strands near Anirudh’s neckline and suggested, “Sir, we have this amazing ayurvedic shampoo called Readymix. It works wonders and it’s a steal at just 1200 Rupees.”
Anirudh raised an eyebrow. “I’ll pass, thanks.” But the hairdresser wasn’t done yet. “Sir, I couldn’t help but notice some black spots on your forehead and nose. We offer a golden facial treatment that will make you unrecognizably fair. And that double chin? We have a special aloe vera chin massage for just 1500 Rupees. Sir, we also have…”
“Please, stop,” Anirudh interrupted, pulling out a piece of paper from his pocket and handing it to the hairdresser. The hairdresser looked surprised as he read the note: “DO NOT DISTURB. I’ve tried all the fancy treatments and massages. I just want a simple haircut. So, please keep quiet and do your work.
The hairdresser nodded and continued in silence.
